De eenmalige bijzondere reis naar Noord Korea was buitengewoon geslaagd. Mede door de inspanningen van reisleider Jan Koning waren wij de eerste buitenlanders die per fiets door Pyongyang reden en een ritje met de plaatselijke trolleybus konden maken.. De binnenlandse vluchten met een 45 jaar oude Russische Antonov en het daarop volgende bezoek aan Mount Paektu, Chongjin en Mount Chilbo waren een belevenis. Talloze andere activiteiten stonden op het programma, zoals een bezoek aan een vliegclub (met rondvlucht in een ultra light vliegtuigje) of een ritje te paard in de manege. Andere hoogtepunten waren de Mass Games in het gigantische May Day stadion en (jawel) een wk kwalificatiewedstrijd van het Koreaans elftal tegen Libanon (2-0 voor de DPRK!) Teveel om op te noemen. Kortom, super!

Partly due to the efforts of tour guide John King, we were the first foreigners bike by Pyongyang reason and could take a ride on the local trolley .. The domestic flights with a 45 year old Russian Antonov and the subsequent visit to Mount Paektu, Chongjin and Mount Chilbo were an experience. Numerous other activities were planned, including a visit to a flying club (with flight in an ultra light plane), or ride horseback in the riding. Other highlights were the Mass Games in the massive May Day Stadium, and (yes) a wk qualifier of the Korean team against Lebanon (2-0 for the DPRK!) Too much to mention. In short, super!
